Woodland Works

Identifying animals after a pond dipNicola and I have been busy throughout summer and autumn 2013 and again this spring 2014, working with two groups of adults with learning difficulties at The Retreat woodland near Bitton in South Gloucestershire. The wood is managed by the Forest of Avon Trust who we work with as associates.

People from Choices4U and Milestone Trust’s Stepping Forward groups have been learning new skills, doing conservation work and watching, tracking and surveying wildlife.

We’re looking forward to an event on Wednesday 30 April where we can show people what we’ve done.

I wrote a blog post for the Forest of Avon Trust about the project which you can read here.
