Woodland wellbeing in South Gloucestershire

Painting with mudWe’ve already run five sessions in the woods as part of a new project for the Forest of Avon Trust, funded by South Gloucestershire Learning Difficulty Development Fund.

People from Kingswood Choices4U, Milestone Trust’s Stepping Forward group and the Brandon Trust have been out with us in Warmley Forest Park, exploring the woods, counting butterflies, litter picking and creating some woodland art. We have also been spending 15 minutes or so each session, sitting quietly in our own special spots to meditate, listen to the world around us and connect with nature.

The sessions are set to start again and run through until the end of November when we hope to do some cooking on the fire amongst other things.
